IN LOVING MEMORY

Ruth Ann Duke

Dec 30 1950 - Dec 31 2020

In our flesh, we had hoped for many more years but in our hearts, we trust and believe in God ‘s perfect will.

On Thursday, December 31, 2020, just one day past her 70th birthday, our loving mother Ruth Ann (Messer)Duke passed from this life on earth to her eternal home in Heaven.

Ruth was born December 30, 1950 in Farmersville, Texas to JD and Nan Messer. Life was not easy for Ruth from the beginning however it helped her develop the fighting spirit she would need to carry her through. She fought off polio as a young child, dealt with dementia for many years and this past year dealt with cancer. She faced every life’s challenge with a positive spirit and placed her faith and trust in Jesus Christ to pull her through.

To Ruth, family meant everything.  She was a wonderful loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished friend. She was a very crafty and talented woman. And her family will cherish the many quilts and wooden crafts she made for them over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jimmy Creed Anthony and Robert Earl Anthony, and grandson Jesse Crump.

She is survived by her son Bob Crump and wife Sabrina, daughter Tammy Steed and husband Scott, daughter Tina Hudnall and husband Joey; Grandchildren Clinton Crump and wife Summer, Tasha Crump and husband David Peasley, Brandon Harrell and wife Lydiah, Josh Sampson and wife Kate, Colton Steed and wife Amanda, Cooper Steed and wife Nicole, Stephanie Moore and husband James, Morgan Cooper and husband Colin, Kyla Ramsey and husband Colton, Bobby Hudnall and Brianna Little; Great-grandchildren Brayden Crump, Charlie Crump, Ryan Crump, Jesse Crump, River Crump, Lacie Peasley, Ariana Crump, Zoey Crump, Izabella Crump, Eli Paisley, Cashton Steed, Jensen Steed, Colleen Harrell, Delta Cooper, Adalyn Ramsey, Bryleigh Ramsey, Trenton Ramsey and was expecting another great grandbaby this spring. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

We truly appreciate all the caregivers from Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Greenville, Texas.
