Miss Ruth “Ruthie” Lilian Crumpton, age 59, of Garland, Texas passed away September 14, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. She was born January 24, 1947, in San Diego, California, to Thomas W. and Roberta O. (Alexander) Crumpton. She worked in childcare and was a member of First Baptist Church in Garland. She is survived by her sister Martha Ann Jones and her husband David of Amarillo, Texas; brother Tommy Crumpton and his wife Carol of Arlington, Texas; nephews Trey Crumpton of Waco, Texas and Timothy Crumpton of Arlington, Texas; aunts Dorothy Haley of Garland and Ollie Alexander of Allen, Texas; cousins David Scott of Garland, Texas, Leonard Fly of Mustang, Oklahoma, and Florence Fly of Bethany, Oklahoma. Preceding her in death were her parents. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at First Baptist Church of Garland, with Rev. Jack Schmid officiating. Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cememtery, Forest Grove Community, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
