Ruth Louise Lilley of Plano, Texas passed away November 21, 2019 at the age of 100. She was born on November 21, 1919 to Ed and Rosie (Peugh) Coggin in Williamson, Georgia. Ruth was a graduate of Asheville High School in Asheville, North Carolina and the Army Nursing School. She married the late Harold R. Lilley in Asheville. Ruth was a dedicated nurse and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family. She played golf, enjoyed traveling the world, loved to read, and was a great cook. Ruth was also a volunteer nurse in Kerrville, Texas for many years. She was of the Christian faith.
Ruth is survived by her sons, James Lilley of Plano, Texas and William E. Lilley and wife, Marcia Bush Lilley of Woodstock Georgia; grandchildren, Katherine Berg of Kennesaw, Georgia, Matthew Lilley of Woodstock, Georgia and Ryan H. Lilley of Plano, Texas; great-granddaughter, London Lilley of Plano, Texas ; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Lilley; stepbrother, Willliam B. Willliams, Jr. and parents.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
