Ruth E. Kroeger, age 91, of Plano, Texas, passed away February 25, 2008, at her home. She was born December 21, 1916, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Edwin F. and Norma (Domsher) Lewis. On November 29, 1941, she married Robert William Kroeger in Ludlow, Kentucky. Mrs. Kroeger served as a machinist supporting the war effort during World War II, and later worked as a medical receptionist. She was a member of West Plano Presbyterian Church. She loved square and round dancing. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Merrick Darley of Plano; grandchildren, Laura Darley of Allen, Andrea Hanson and her husband Jason of Murphy, TX, Sarah Darley of Washington DC and Ryan Darley of Plano; great-grandson, Carter Hanson; and cousin Jack Raymond and his wife Betty of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Robert William Kroeger in 1998. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 28, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. David Batchelder officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home during a visitation one hour prior to the service.
