Ruth Mary Jurick, age 74, of Parker, Texas passed away on July 23, 2010. She was born on December 22, 1935 in Sedgewickville, Missouri, to Pervis and Viola (Hahs) Sebaugh. Ruth married Gene Jurick on June 20, 1964, in Tacoma, Washington. She grew up in Southeast Missouri, where she attended school. Ruth graduated from Southeast Missouri State with a bachelor degree in education. She taught school for 44 years in Missouri, Washington, Georgia, Texas, and California. Ruth was an avid reader and she loved to travel. She is survived by her husband, Gene Jurick of Parker, TX; son, Brett Jurick and wife Melody, of Allen, TX; daughter, Jennifer Mellet and husband Jason, of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Jurick, Faith Jurick, and Kiera Mellet; brothers, Dan Sebaugh and wife Linda, of Daisy, MO, Ted Sebaugh and wife Snook, of Nashville, TN, Jim Sebaugh and wife Pat, of St. Louis MO; sister, Martha Holler of Perryville, MO; and a host of other family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book on Monday.
