Ruth Elizabeth (Crabtree) Frye, age 87, of Celina, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, in McKinney, Texas. She was born October 6, 1931, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Mabel Alice (Riddle) and Ernest Wyley Crabtree. Ruth married the love of her life, Bruce Alan Frye, in Ada on December 24, 1950, and they had three wonderful children. She was a talented artist.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce Frye; her children, Bruce A. Frye and his wife, Laura, of Grove, Oklahoma, Alisa Frye Pombo and her husband, Anibal, of Celina, Texas, and Lance T. Frye and his wife, Tara, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her precious grandchildren, Dustin Frye, Heath Frye, Ryan Pombo, Jake Pombo, Matthew Pombo, Rachel Frye, and Austin Frye; and her darling great-grandaughter, McKenna Frye; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Frank, David, Donald and Jean Crabtree, and her sisters, Helen Pace and Margaret Keplar.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Ada, Oklahoma, Monday, December 24, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., on what would have been Mr. & Mrs. Frye’s 68th wedding anniversary. Services officiated by Pastor Brian Matthews. Inurnment at a later date.
