Mrs. Ruth E. Freberg, age 88, a former resident of Portland, Oregon, passed away May 18, 2008, in McKinney, Texas. She was born May 23, 1919, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Harrison A. and Bessie I. (Skiles) Batchelor. In 1964, she married Norman Freberg, who preceded her in death. Ruth was a United Airlines Administrator in Portland, retiring in the late 1970's with over 25 years of service. She is survived by her three nephews, Jon H. Batchelor and wife, Barbara, Kurt Batchelor and wife, Raquel and Paul Jergens and wife, Sherrie; brother, Robert L. Batchelor; sister-in-law, Bernice H. Batchelor; and long time friends, Helen and Harley Malkson and Veulah Lorts. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David A. Batchelor; and sister-in-law, Autumn Batchelor. A private memorial service will be held this summer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
