Ruth Ann Stelljes of Vian, Oklahoma passed away December 28, 2018, at the age of 80. She was born August 29, 1938, to Forrest Roberts and Wilma (Bliss) Roberts in Alton, Kansas. Ruth married Lloyd Stelljes on October 5, 1958, in Osborne, Kansas. For twenty-five years, she worked as an accountant at Sears and Roebuck. Ruth was a member of First Lutheran Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she taught Sunday school. She loved to play Bunco with her friends, enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren playing games, doing puzzles and never missed one of their activities. Ruth never missed watching a TCU Football game or a chance to cheer on the Oklahoma City Thunder. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and friends and enjoyed camping and birds and nature.
Ruth is survived by her spouse, Lloyd Stelljes of Vian, Oklahoma; daughter, Sandy Baxter of McKinney, Texas; son, David Stelljes and wife Laurie of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Olivia Baxter, Abbey Baxter, Samuel Baxter; Nicholas Stelljes, Alexander Stelljes, sister, Betty Farless of Osborne, Kansas and Connie Kohlbusch of New Haven, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Alan Stelljes, parents, Forrest and Wilma Roberts, and sisters, Norma Roberts and Patty Winder.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Blackgum First Baptist Church, 450122 Hwy 100, Vian, Oklahoma 74962. A luncheon is to follow the service.
