Rupert Cyril Clark, age 84, of Plano, Texas, passed away June 9, 2008 in Plano. He was born April 28, 1924, in Traverse City, Michigan, the son of John and Lucy (Nelson) Clark. He served his country in the United States Army. On May 28, 1943, he married Billie W. Clark, in Traverse City. Mr. Clark worked in management in the lumber and hardware business. Rupert was a very active man, enjoying golf and dancing. He left behind many friends from the Plano Senior Center and from the golf courses in the Plano area, along with many friends from Michigan. He was a true gentleman and will be missed by all. He is survived by his children, Noreen Spradlin and her husband Joe of Plano, Texas and Roger Clark of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher Owen of Lewisville, Matthew Owen of Houston, and Stephanie Eiting and her husband Chris of Albuquerque, NM; great-grandchildren, Randy Owen, Celeste Texas, and Cameron and Claire Eiting; and sister Pauline Mills and her husband Robert of Hemet, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 13, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
