Rudy Ringel, Sr. of McKinney, Texas passed away on November 29, 2020 at the age of 91. He was born on March 26, 1929 to Rudolph Paul Ringel and Irene A. (Herron) Ringel in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. Rudy married Catherine Ann Jereb on July 21, 1951 in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Rudy was a volunteer fireman in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. He was also an avid deer hunter for over 35 years.
He is survived by his son, Rudolph P. Ringel, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Plano, Texas; daughters, Catherine M. Clark and husband, Gregory of McKinney, Texas and Diane L. Diehl and husband, Ned of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Megan Marie Clark Roder and husband, Chris of McKinney, Texas, Amanda Kate Ringel Berce and husband, Eric of Larchmont, New York; great grandchildren, Joseph Clark-Fernandez, Carson Roder, Maddix Roder, Blair Berce, and Nora Berce; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Ann Jereb Ringel; and brothers, Jack Ringel and Fred Ringel.
The family will receive friends during a “come and go” visitation on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
