Ruby Nell Crump of McKinney, Texas passed away March 13, 2019 at the age of 82. She was born October 20, 1936 to Homer Wilson Norris and Willie Mayme (Claborn) Norris in Celina, Texas. Ruby Nell was a 1953 graduate of Alla Hubbard High School in Celina. She married William Ryan “Bill” Crump on February 20, 1960 in College Station, Texas. Ruby with her husband Bill and the Crump family owned and operated Crump’s Garden in McKinney for many years. Ruby Nell was member of First Christian Church in McKinney, Texas.
Ruby Nell is survived by her son, Bill Crump and wife, Debbie of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Tammy Rogers and husband, Rainey also of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kevin Crump and wife, Lyndsey, Brice Crump, Lindsey Pennington and husband, Adam, Jacob Rogers and wife, Jordan, Steven Rogers and wife, Elise, Will Rogers and wife, Whitney, Jed Rogers and wife, Daniella, and Olivia Rogers; great-grandchildren, Sloane Crump, Penn Crump, Beckham Rogers, Ellie Jo Rogers, Max Rogers, Quinn Rogers, Jack Rogers, Brooke Pennington, Hogan Pennington, Ryder Rogers and Greta Rogers; sisters, Betty Phipps, Charslie Gracy, Wanda Carter, Robbie Lynn Morris, Carolyn Rivera, and Anita Kelly; and brother, Jack Norris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ryan “Bill” Crump (2016); parents, Homer and Willie Norris; and brothers, Bill Norris, Bob Norris and Cecil Norris.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Dr. Thomas O. Brumett officiating. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
