Ruben Rodriguez Delgado, age 56, of Allen, Texas, passed away August 14, 2015. Ruben was born November 1, 1958, in Andrews, Texas, to Gilbert and Delfina (Rodriguez) Delgado, Sr. He married Alicia Hinojosa on June 4, 1982, in McCamey, Texas. Ruben graduated from Iraan High School in 1978. He was a business owner of Specialty Carpet Cleaning for over thirty years. Ruben was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen. He was a Captain in the Knights of Columbus John Paul II Assembly and Council 11293.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Delgado of Allen, Texas; daughter, Kristie Medeiros of Tucson, Arizona; grandson, Joshua Medeiros, also of Tucson; parents, Gilbert and Delfina Delgado of Sheffield, Texas; brothers, Gilbert Delgado, Jr. and wife, Elma of Copeville, Texas and Mario Delgado of Sheffield, Texas; sisters, Mary Jo Cruz of Houston, Texas and Irma Delgado of Irving, Texas; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Delgado in 2007.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Ave., Allen, Texas, 75002. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.
