Roy Noel O'Dell

Roy Noel O’Dell, age 87, a long time resident of Celina, passed away Monday morning, April 4, 2005 at the Centennial Memorial Hospital in Frisco. He was born November 21, 1917 in the Alla Community, son of the late T. N. and Catherine (Spann) O’Dell. He attended the Alla and Celina schools and was a member of the Celina Church of Christ. Noel and his wife, the former Mildred Winn, was married in May 1938 where they lived and farmed in the Celina community They moved to Dallas in 1947 where he was employed by Texas Instruments until his retirement in 1975. He and Mildred returned to Celina where he dealt in real estate. Roy is survived by his wife, Mildred; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Cason and Mrs. Laura Sue Paddock both of Fort Worth; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Pauline O’Dell and Mrs. Bonnie O’Dell both of Celina. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh and Daniel O’Dell. He is also survived by six nephews and three nieces and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him. Pall Bearers will be Dan Stone, Rex Mask, Kevin Maxson, Ralph O’Dell, Jeff Stone, Rex Crosswhite, Bill Stelzer and Wayne Stone. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Celina Church of Christ with Brother Kenneth Avaritt and Brother Dwight Maxson officiating. Interment will be at the Old Celina Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Celina Funeral Home.
