Roy Allen Capps, Jr., 75, passed away on December 13, 2024, in Richardson, Texas. He was born on May 5, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roy Allen Capps and Kamilia (Spackova) Capps.

Roy married Jill Harris on May 8, 2008, in Honey Grove, Texas. They shared 16 years of marriage.

Roy served honorably in the United States Army.

Roy will be remembered by his children, Allen Lee Capps of Red Oak, Texas, Keith Capps and his wife, Melissa, of Forney, Texas, Raymond Fontenot and his wife, Sherri, of Alba, Texas, and Kristi Capps of Alba, Texas; step-daughter, Brittany Posey and her husband, Eric, of Avery, Texas; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren including Bryan Capps; brothers, Roy F. “Tater” Capps and his wife, Kathy, of Whitewright, Texas, Ronnie Capps and his wife, Sherry, of Jefferson, Texas, and Roger Capps and his wife, Judy, of Pottsboro, Texas; and sisters, Mary Hawthorne and her husband, Paul, of Avinger, Texas, Susie Grigsby of Honey Grove, Texas, and Becky Taylor of Boswell, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jill Capps.
