Rosemary O’Keefe LeRoy of Fairview, Texas, passed away June 17, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William Charles LeRoy, III.
Rosemary was born to William and Judith (Culliton) O’Keefe on March, 21, 1940, in Waterbury, Connecticut. She attended Sacred Heart High School where she met her future husband, Bill. They got married on August 18, 1962 and started a family the next year. In 1973, Rosemary and Bill moved to Dallas, Texas. She became a proud Texan, but always cherished her roots in Connecticut and her Irish heritage.
Rosemary was a dedicated wife, mother, and “gramma”. She fully supported anything her family was into whether it be touring Civil War battlefields with Bill or strolling Sea World with her grandchildren. She clocked many hours cheering on baseball, soccer and basketball players and was just as happy to stroll the mall for secret shopping sprees. Rosemary loved nothing more than to have a house full of family. She enjoyed planning the menu, participating in various indoor games and was always willing to step in and pitch for the wiffle ball games in the back yard. A family favorite was Rosemary’s watch parties for The Cowboys or The Rangers games.
In 2001, Rosemary and Bill retired to Heritage Ranch where they were founding members of the community. They enjoyed making new friends and Rosemary especially enjoyed hosting parties with her neighbors. When not entertaining in Dallas, Rosemary could be found at the beach. She loved walking the sandy beaches of South Padre Island where the family had a second residence. Together they shared 30 years of great memories on SPI.
Rosemary is survived by her children, William Charles LeRoy, IV and wife, Eileen, John LeRoy and wife, Carla, Ellen LeRoy, and Martin LeRoy and wife, Lauren; grandchildren, Andrew and wife, Emily, Billy aka William Charles LeRoy, V, Tori, Joey, Joshua, and Rachel; great granddaughter, Brielle; brother William O’Keefe; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Judith O’Keefe; husband, William Charles LeRoy, III; sisters Judith Cross and Arlene Archambault; children, Brenda and David LeRoy; and son-in-law, Myron Schlosser.
The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff and community at Grand Brook for the outstanding care they provided since 2020 with a special thanks to Anchor of Hope Hospice.
A memorial mass will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.
