Rose Zimmardi

February 14, 1927 - July 25, 2020

Rose Zimmardi, age 93, of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 25, 2020. She was born on February 14, 1927 to Rose (Amella) and Giacomo DeGregorio in Brooklyn, New York. On April 11, 1959, Rose married the true love of her life, Robert Zimmardi in Hollis, New York. Rose worked as a banking secretary and was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New York. 

Rose is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Zimmardi of McKinney, Texas; son, Chris Zimmardi of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Abbigail and Matthew Zimmardi of Plano, Texas. 

Rose was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane; parents, Rose and Giacomo DeGregorio.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Father Tony O'Donovan presiding.

Rose will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, New York with an additional funeral service held under the direction of A.L. Jacobsen Funeral Home in Huntington, New York.  Please note that in lieu of quarantine restrictions for travelers to New York State, the date of the funeral service is yet to be announced.
