Ronny Wisdom

Ronny Wisdom, a lifelong resident of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on May 10 ,2021 at the age 73.  He was born on January 20, 1948 to Cloaid Clyde “Moe” Wisdom and Minnie Irene (Knowles) Wisdom in McKinney, Texas.  Ronny married Janet Lynn Trout on August 16, 1992 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  He worked at Cabell’s in McKinney and retired after 49 years of service with the company.  Ronny was an avid outdoorsman and spent a lifetime hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed farming in his spare time.  Ronny was of the Baptist faith.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Ronny is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Janet Wisdom of McKinney, Texas; children, Kim Shewbirt of Collinsville, Texas, Ronda Grier of McKinney, Texas, and Ross Wisdom and wife, Madison of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Sheridan Riddle and husband, Cody of Collinsville, Texas, Drake Grier of McKinney, Texas, Collyn  Shewbirt of Collinsville, Texas, and Bryleah Grier of McKinney, Texas; great-granddaughter, Westlynn; mother-in-law, Norma Trout; brother and sister-in-law, Donna and Kevin Mann; nephews, Austin and Alex Mann, all of McKinney, Texas; a host of other loving family and friends; and a special thank you to Ronny’s nurse, Sarah Spencer for all of her love and support.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, John Trout.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the funeral service.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.  The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Ronny’s obituary page by clicking on the following link:  https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/ronny-wisdom.  After the service, the recorded live steam will be available for viewing at the same link location. 

Should the maximum number of guests be reached, those who would like to honor Ronny and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

Interment is to follow the funeral service at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.  Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
