Mr. Ronnie Eugene Dickens, age 64, of Frisco, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in Plano, Texas. He was born June 3, 1942 in McKinney, Texas to Eugene Ray and Wanda Levera (Day) Dickens. On August 7, 1967 Ronnie married Christel Schmidt in Houston, Texas. Mr. Dickens worked as Chief Dispatcher in the steel industry and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Christel Dickens of Frisco, Texas; sons, Jim Moore of Prosper, Texas, Ronnie Ray Dickens and Steven Brodbeck both of Frisco, Texas; daughters, Christin Brodbeck of Houston, Texas, Renee Laufer of Wylie, Texas and, Cassandra Brodbeck of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Ronnie G. Moore, Michael Ryan Laufer and, Emma Ray Laufer; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Michael Gordon Dickens. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas with Rev. Sam Underwood officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6 - 8 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation.
