Life Story
Ronald Chesley Gossling passed away peacefully on December 8, 2020 at his home in McKinney, Texas at the age of 76 after a lengthy battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism disease. He was born on May 6, 1944 to Harold Gossling and Grace (Madsen) Gossling in Portland, Oregon.
Ron graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He was the founder and CEO of Communication Counsel of America (CCA). CCA is an innovative business that revolutionized the consulting business by coaching and preparing executives on how to deal with a corporate crisis with ethical considerations and integrity. Over the course of his career Ron guided and counseled thousands of executives changing the trajectory of their careers, their business and their lives.
Ron loved to travel, and he loved to fish. And he combined these passions by taking fishing trips around the world. He was intellectually curious, compassionate and funny.
Ron is survived by the love of his life, his wife Nancie Poppema of Texas; children, Gregory Gossling of Utah, Todd Gossling and wife, Emily of Utah, Scot Gossling of Texas and Nicole Gossling of Texas; grandchildren, Victoria Gossling and Alexander Gossling of Utah; mother of Victoria and Alexander, Susan Gossling and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Grace Gossling; brothers, Harold Gossling, Jr. and Ken Gossling; and son, Jon Gossling.
Memorial donations can be made in honor of Ron’s life to Lewy Body Dementia Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
In support of our local, state, and federal government (including CDC directives) and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Ron’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: Celebrationoflife.tv. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
Additionally, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Ron and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park (located onsite behind Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home) for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
