Ronald Lee Cox

Ronald Lee Cox, age 77, went home to be with Jesus on September 15, 2024, in McKinney, Texas.  He was born on November 4, 1946, in Austin, Texas, to his loving parents, Ashwood Cox and Helen (Davis) Cox.

Ronald proudly served in the United States Air Force.  He graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis and went on to work the majority of his career for Chemtech Industries finishing with them as their CFO. Ron retired in 2009 and spent his remaining years enjoying time with his family, traveling and watching movies.

Ronald met the love of his life, Cathy Delaine Bromwich in 1968 while serving together in the United States Air Force in Fort Worth, Texas. Together, they celebrated 55 years of marriage together having raised their three daughters, Mary Beth, Jennifer, and Michelle who brought them many years of joy and countless cherished memories.

Ronald was quiet in nature and loved his family well.  He spent his life giving to all sacrificially. He was never too busy to listen, give advice, and was a constant reminder of the power of Jesus in everyone’s life. He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Cathy Cox, of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Mary Beth Kenney (Sean), of San Diego California, Jennifer Vestal (Steven), of Cleburne, Texas, and Michelle Barton (Mike), of St. Peters, Missouri;  grandchildren, Morgan Kenney, Madelyn Kenney, Andrew Adams, Jack Adams, Sam Adams, Kelsey Barton, and Lilly Barton; brother, William Cox (Jennifer), of Georgetown, Texas, and a host of family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and forever cherish his memory.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Ashwood and Helen Cox; and brothers, Ashwood Cox, Jr., and Robert Cox.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/ronald-lee-cox. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. 

Following the funeral, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., the family will receive guests during visitation time at the same location.
