Ronald Irwin Rappaport, age 68, of Little Elm, Texas, transitioned on January 12, 2018. He was born on May 6, 1949, to Benjamin and Mary (Vineyard) Rappaport in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Ron married Susan Elizabeth Thornburg in Norman, Oklahoma, on February 16, 1977.
He attended the University of Oklahoma and was an avid Sooners fan. In 1985, he received his Certified Financial Planner License from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO. In 1972, he joined the Soka Gakkai International, a Buddhist organization that promotes peace, culture and education. Respected and loved by friends, neighbors and colleagues, he will be greatly missed.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Susan Rappaport, of Little Elm, Texas; sons, Erick Rappaport and his husband Mike of Los Angeles, California and Scott Rappaport and his wife Leigh of Houston, Texas; and grandson, Benjamin Rappaport.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Rappaport.
