Ronald Henry Klemm

Ronald Henry Klemm formerly of McKinney, Texas passed away January 22, 2017, at the age of 84.  He was born January 24, 1932, to Henry F. Klemm and Wanda (Murdock) Klemm in Goshen, Indiana.  Ron was a graduate of McKinney High School. He earned his Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Education at the University of North Texas.  He served his country proudly in the United States Marines in the Korean Conflict as a medic. While in Alaska, Ron taught school and served as a Principle and Superintendent. He married his first wife, Joan Joplin on January 27, 1956, in McKinney, Texas, second wife, Linda Butler on April 9, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and third wife, Beth McCormack on September 22, 2011, also in McKinney, Texas.  Ron owned and operated McKinney Furniture Company in McKinney for many years before his retirement.  He was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Naples, Texas and a former member of Trinity Presbyterian.

Ron is survived by his children, Kathryn Swadley (Steve) of Ravenna, Texas, Keely Klemm of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kerry Betts (Kevin) of Brevard, North Carolina, Karin Klemm (Nikki Hood) of McKinney, Texas, and Kyle Klemm (Tina) also of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Nathan Holland, Cameron Monterro, Cori Roberts, Blaze Betts, Breze Betts, Leigha Klemm, Kyleigh Hood, Keaton Hood, Kaden Hood, Abe Swadley, Luke Swadley, Daniel Swadley, and Abby Pierson; brothers, Jerry Klemm of Merit, Texas and Tom Klemm of McKinney, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Joplin Klemm, second wife, Linda Gilbert Klemm, and third wife, Beth McCormack Klemm; grandchildren, Natalie Holland and Caroline Holland, parents and brother, Jim Klemm.
 
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Patrick McCoy officiating.  Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen Texas.  Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to sign the register book.
