Ronald E. Larsen of Fairview, Texas passed away on February 12, 2023 at the age of 80. He was born on April 3, 1942 to Royal A. and Ida (Nelson) Larsen in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ron graduated from University of Utah with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Celanese Chemical his entire career in many different positions, which included the construction of an ocean going chemical ship. He was fortunate to travel to 46 countries during his time at Celanese. Ronald loved his work. He retired at the age of 56 and never looked back. He loved being retired as well. Above all he loved his family. They were always his first concern. In addition to his wife Cissie, he treasured his 4 children and 5 granddaughters and loved visiting his 9 great grandchildren in the Phoenix area.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Cissie Ann Larsen of Fairview, Texas; children, Robyn Whiting and husband, Barry of Mesa, Arizona, Tina Keil and husband, Steve of Acworth, Georgia, Scott Larsen and wife, Jana of Plano, Texas, Heidi Larsen and Brad Leonard of Bellbrook, Ohio; 5 granddaughters, Taylor, Lanie, Paige, Jordon, and Chloe; 9 great grandchildren, Charlotte, Poppy, Jack, Faye, Scottie, Sunny, Harvey, Elsie, and Mickey. Ron also had many relatives living in the Salt Lake City area.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
