Ronald “Ron” Floyd Coleman of Carrollton, Texas passed away on July 3, 2019 at the age of 78. He was born on November 20, 1940 to Tinsley R. and Flora B. (Coleman) Fisher in McKinney, Texas. Ron married Barbara Ann Stelzer on May 23, 1962, at First Presbyterian Church in McKinney, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Ron owned and operated Ron Coleman Gunsmith in Carrollton, Texas from 1983-2006. He was a member and past president of the Dallas Gun Club and served on the board of directors for several years. Ron was an avid hunter and skeet shooter. Also he was a benefactor member of the National Rifle Association, a lifetime member of the Texas Skeet Shooting Association and a lifetime member of the National Skeet Shooting Association.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara Coleman of Carrollton, Texas; and mother-in-law, Sylvia “Pete” Holland of Dallas, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora B. Coleman and father, Tinsley R. Fisher.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
