Mr. Ron “R.B.” Boren, age 62, of Plano, Texas passed away September 19, 2009, in Plano. He was born on March 5, 1947, in McKinney, Texas to Marion Floyd and Mary Lee (Cody) Boren. R.B. proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for GTE in Plano with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the All American Cloggers of Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his sons, Jeff Boren and wife, Shannon of Caddo Mills, Texas, Michael Boren of Little Elm, Texas and Jimmy Boren of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Boren and Zachary Boren of Caddo Mills, Texas and Tara Boren of Denison, Texas; mother, Mary Boren of Plano, Texas; and sister, Carolyn Thuman of Cash, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Boren in 1988. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
