Mrs. Romona Kester, age 74, formerly of Odessa, Texas passed away August 29, 2005, at her daughter’s home in McKinney, Texas. She was born July 2, 1931, in Eunice, Louisiana to Arthur McKinley and Mary (Roy) Miller. On February 6, 1948, she married O.R. “Bob” Kester in Eunice. Mrs. Kester was a homemaker and a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Clarks, Louisiana. She is survived by her daughter, Shellia Brunson of McKinney; granddaughters, April Singleton and husband, Eric of Culpeper, Virginia, Amanda Brunson and Brianna Brunson both of McKinney; great grandchildren, Libby and Paxton Singleton; brothers, Ray Miller, Bobby Miller, Donald Miller and Jack Miller all of Eunice, Louisiana and Skeet Miller of Junction City, Kansas; sister, Diane Garnett of Clarks, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Her parents, husband, and sister, Nancy Coleman preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Sunset Memorial Park in Odessa, Texas. Mrs. Kester will lie in repose on Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
