Roger Bradshaw of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 3, 2019 at the age of 73. He was born on September 29, 1945 to Walter Lewis and Dorothy Mae (Dodson) Bradshaw in Childress, Texas. In his younger years, his family moved often. Finally settling in Amarillo, Texas, Roger graduated from Palo Duro High School where he excelled in track and field. He continued his education at Texas A & M University in College Station earning a master’s degree in biology. Roger spent many years in the oil and gas industry as a research scientist. He married Lorie Ilene Baber on October 28, 1988 in Allen, Texas. Roger loved the outdoors and especially loved to share his passion for nature with any child that crossed his path. He loved his family most of all.
Roger is survived by his wife, Lorie Bradshaw of McKinney, Texas; children, Andrea Ingram and husband, Charles of Greenville, Kara Greer and husband, Jason of McKinney, Clint Brock and wife, Lauren of McKinney, and Jared Brock and wife, Jacqueline of Belton; grandchildren, Carla, Hope, Hannah, Jonathan, Benjamin, Ellie, Beckham, Olive, and Emmie Lou; brothers, Robert Bradshaw and wife, Neva and Jimmy Bradshaw and wife, Candy; sister, Shirley McKee and husband, Ronnie; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Bradshaw.
A Celebration of Roger’s life will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation one hour prior to the service.
