Roger M. Ramos passed away on September 8, 2023 at the age of 61. He was born to Joel G. and Gloria (Martinez) Ramos on September 12, 1961.
Roger was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Jefferson High School. After high school, Roger went to San Antonio College where he received his associates degree. After he graduated, Roger went to work in a local bank. While there he met Cynthia Zuniga when they were both out for lunch. They maintained contact and quickly after their meeting, Roger and Cynthia married on October 6, 1984. Roger changed career paths to telecom sales and even dabbled in insurance sales. Shortly after, he and Cynthia moved to the N. Texas area in 2003. Roger found his niche in software sales. Roger and Cynthia were blessed with their son Rhett in 1997. Roger loved going fishing with Rhett - from local ponds and lakes to going deep sea fishing in Cabo and Puerta Vallarta. Roger reeled in everything from barracudas to marlins and sail fish. Roger and Rhett loved their fishing trips. Roger also had a passion for smoking different meats and making any and everything BBQ related. The meats, the ribs, the sides, Roger loved it all. He was known for preparing food and feeding the whole cul-de-sac where he lived.
Roger is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ramos of Allen, Texas; son, Rhett Ramos of Allen, Texas; brother, Joel Ramos and wife, Elba of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Michael Ramos of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Ronnie Ramos and wife, Tracy of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law, Gloria Buitron of Hurst, Texas; sister-in-law, Micaela Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law, Delia Rodriguez of Mission, Texas; brother-in-law, Danny Zuniga (Sita Zuniga) of Jourdanton, Texas; brother-in-law, Mike Zuniga of Charlotte, Texas, and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Gloria Ramos.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
