Roger Dale Miller

Roger Dale Miller, 79, passed away surrounded by his family on February 15, 2024, in Denison, Texas. He was born on July 12, 1944, to John W. Miller and Mildred (Duncan) Miller in San Franciso, California. He attended school in McKinney, Texas. He then went on to join The United States Army in 1966 where he was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. He married his sweetheart, Linda Kelley-Miller and shared 22 years together riding many trails and showing horses. In his spare time Roger coached kids in baseball and football. Roger was talented and a hard worker who worked route sales, was an electrician, and retired from work as a guard at the Bonham Prison and Correctional Facility. He was an active member of the Bois D’Arc Creek Cowboy Church in Bonham, Texas.

Roger will be remembered by his wife, Linda Miller of Telephone, Texas; son, Johnny Miller and wife, Sandi; daughter, Marlo Grayson and husband, Claudie; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John, and Mildred Miller; brother, Gary Miller; sister, Kathy Edwards; and son Bubba Miller.

The family will welcome guests to a visitation from 2-4 PM, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard, 701 N. Cedar St. Leonard Texas, 75452. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Bois D’Arc Cowboy Church, 3375 S. Hwy 121, Bonham Texas, 75418. A private burial will be held at Indian Creek Cemetery in Leonard, Texas.

Pallbearers for Roger’s service are Brandon Layne, Chance Grayson, Anthony Grigg, Caleb Vass, Steven Miller, Aaron Miller, and Chris Miller.
