Rogelio Villa of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 88.

Rogelio was born on January 1, 1938, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Isidro Villa and Celia Hernandez Villa. Raised in a close-knit community, he developed the values of perseverance, kindness, and lifelong learning that would guide him throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Eagle Pass High School, Class of 1957, Rogelio believed deeply in the transformative power of education. His academic journey led him to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, an achievement that reflected both his determination and intellectual curiosity.

Following his education, Rogelio dedicated his professional career to public service as a Grant Analyst for the State of Minnesota. Through his work, he quietly contributed to the betterment of countless lives, approaching each responsibility with integrity, diligence, and thoughtful care.

Never one to stop growing, Rogelio embraced opportunities to connect with others and sharpen his communication skills as an active Toastmaster. He enjoyed meaningful conversations and believed that every person had a story worth hearing.

Life was an adventure to Rogelio. He found joy in traveling to new places, discovering different cultures, and taking long drives that often became journeys of reflection and appreciation for the beauty around him.

A man of the Christian faith, Rogelio's life reflected quiet strength, compassion, and hope. His faith served as a steady foundation throughout the seasons of his life and shaped the kindness he extended to those around him.

Above all else, Rogelio will be remembered as a loving father, a loyal friend, and a gentle presence whose wisdom, warmth, and generous spirit enriched the lives of many. He possessed a calm demeanor, an inquisitive mind, and a genuine interest in others that made everyone feel welcomed and valued.

Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rogelio will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Villa and wife, Diana of Blue Ridge, Texas and Roy Villa and wife, Tammy of Blaine, Minnesota; daughter, Sheryl Doughty of Hague, Virginia; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Rogelio was preceded in death by his partner, Joyce Blesi and parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
