Rodolfo Orona Dimas of Celina, Texas passed away October 10, 2020 at the age of 58. He was born on February 4, 1962 to Ramon Dimas and Estella Orona in Raymondville, Texas. Rodolfo married Nelda Flores on July 29, 1985 in Collin County, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army. Rodolfo worked in parks and recreation for the City of Frisco. He was in the Celina Quarterback Club. Rodolfo was member of the Friendship Church in Frisco, Texas since the inception in 2005 where he was a deacon and was very active in children’s activities there. He was a humble man and loved the Lord. Rudy enjoyed church summer camp, being a mentor and football. Rudy loved his family more than anything.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Dimas of Celina, Texas; daughter, Lauren Dimas of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Zaydyn Dimas, Deuce Davis and Camryn Davis; brothers, Tony Mendez of Celina, Texas, Raymond Dimas and wife, Martha of Frisco, Texas, Charlie Dimas of Celina, Texas and Richard Dimas of Celina, Texas; sister, Mary Leshowitz of Celina, Texas.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Mendez.
A “come and go” visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home,2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Friendship Church, 9020 FM 423, Frisco, TX 75033.
Interment will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211 at a later date.
