Rodney Ellis Patterson was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on September 21, 1973, to the union of Wanda Patterson and the late Robert Patterson Jr. He accepted Christ at an early age. Rodney was employed as a truck driver at Davis Redimix. He enjoyed cooking, barbequing, boiling crawfish and especially making Gumbo! Rodney was a guy who wore many hats, but his passion was rebuilding motors in his spare time. He adored and loved his family and friends.
The beginning of a unique love story sparked in 1997 when Rodney met the love of his life, Keyna Kemp. They were together for 7 years before they married and became one on December 29, 2003. Rodney and Keyna had a wonderful family of 5 children, Davita, Raven, Rodney, Oasha and Ellis.
Rodney is proceeded in death by his Father, Robert Patterson Jr.; Stepfather, Ammie Harvey; Mother-In-Law, Ruby Kemp; Granddaughter, Baylee; Grandparents, Gloria and Robert Patterson Sr. and Amy and Bat Paul.
He leaves to cherish his memories his Wife, Keyna; two Sons, Rodney and Ellis; three Daughters, Oasha, Raven and Davita; four Grandchildren, Prince, Rodney III, Amiri and Faith; Mother, Wanda Patterson; two Sisters, Tracy and Arica Patterson; Brother, Ronnie Patterson; Sister-In-Law, Anquinette Patterson; and Brother-In-Law, Reuben Clayborne; five Nieces, Roben, Ariel, Amil, Camron and Chloe; four Nephews, Derek, Trenton, X-Zavier, Ronnie Jr. and Caydon; Great niece, Skylar; and three Great nephews, Macyn, Rian, and Kenneth III.
Rodney will forever be missed by his loving family and all that knew him. His lifestyle and legacy will forever be embedded in our hearts. The love and memories made will never be forgotten!
A memorial service will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
