Rodney Martin Nesbit, a resident of Allen, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on August 19, 1949, to George Nesbit and Audrey (Adamson) Nesbit in Spangler, Pennsylvania. Rodney lived a life marked by dedication, love, and world travel. A proud graduate of Oakmont High School, Rodney's pursuit of knowledge led him to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
His professional journey was personified by his loyalty and leadership, serving at Dresser Industries for a remarkable 27 years. Dresser granted Rodney and his family the opportunity to travel globally for a variety of different roles, including Pennsylvania, California, England, Connecticut and Texas. After ultimately settling his roots on a homecoming to the Lonestar State, Rodney joined Tri-Global Energy, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues along the way. Rodney's vast experience and desire to help others also led to the success of FaxLogic, LLC where he served as CFO from May 2015 until his retirement in March 2025. His drive was not only fueled by obtaining knowledge, but to pass along his wisdom and experience for the benefit of others.
Rodney married the love of his life, Rhonda Lyn Riggs, on June 28, 1986, in Dallas, Texas. Together, they shared many cherished moments filled with laughter and joy. Beyond his professional life, Rodney found great joy in the simple pleasures. He had a passion for fishing, loved the thrill of riding his motorcycle, and was a fan of motor sports.
Rodney will be lovingly remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda Riggs Nesbit of Allen, Texas; son, Brian Martin Nesbit and wife, Katie of Leesburg, Virginia; daughter, Leslie Ann Schneider of Springdale, Pennsylvania; son, Eric John Nesbit and wife, Stephanie of Allen, Texas; son, Adam George Nesbit and wife, Megan of Keller, Texas; six grandchildren, Olivia Schneider, Clare Schneider, Ben Nesbit, Jack Nesbit, Gavin Scruggs, and Gage Scruggs; twin brother, Roger Nesbit and wife, Pat of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; brother, Ronald Nesbit of Oakmont, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Friends will be received Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd., 7450 Saltsburg Road, Pittsburgh., Pensylvania 15235, at which time a Memorial Celebration will commence beginning at 5:00 pm. Rodney's free time often involved the outdoors and led to a deep passion for nature.
