I had the opportunity to meet Rod through my husband, they worked together at UP and were in the same training class for conductor, and it was so nice to have said I met him. My husband was very fond of Rod and Rod was always making him laugh. He used to call my husband to just talk and I would always joke saying they were like a bunch of teenage girls. I will miss hearing about Rod and I know my husband misses him greatly. Ashli Main, August 22, 2014 My heart is so Heavy right now. Rod and i were really close friends. Over the past 5 years i have grown and expierienced alot because of him. Words cannot express how i feel and i can only imagine what his family is going through. I know its hard to loose someone that meant so much and at such a young age through a tragic situation. Know that God's plan is always greater than we can ever imagine. Its hard right now, but this too shall pass. Andrea Pierce, August 22, 2014 Rodger and I were close. I fussed at him a lot about working too much, but I did admire his dedication to family!
