Robert “Rod” Wallace Franc, Jr. of Allen, Texas, passed away October 10, 2015 at the age of 60. He was born on July 16, 1955 to Robert Wallace and Shirley Sanguini Franc in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Rod had been in the plastics industry for over 30 years. In 2008, he founded Frontier Polymers and successfully managed it until his untimely death. Before Rod founded Frontier Polymers, he worked with resin and color companies within the plastics industry. Rod won numerous sales achievement awards, including the One Million Dollar Sales Club. He had a true passion for golf. Rod was a champion junior golfer in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area and he went on to play on the golf team at Penn State University. He was honored to have a special tile in his name in the Sports Museum at Penn State University. In 1989, Rod completed his MBA at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He was a true mentor and hero to his daughter, Erin. Rod enjoyed playing golf, working in the yard and spending time with his family and pets. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Allen Masonic Lodge #1435.

Rod is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Susan Franc; his daughter, Erin Franc; brothers, Brad Franc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Frank Vitale; sisters, Francesca Watkins and Gabrielle Vitale Sanchez all of Scottsdale, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be made in Rod’s honor to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, Texas 75219.
