Robyn Renee Carlson-Drake passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at the age of 63, following a long and courageous battle with Sézary syndrome, a rare form of lymphoma that affects the blood, skin, and immune system.
Robyn was born on July 17, 1962, in Washington, Indiana, and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her school years, she was a cheerleader and later continued to shine in beauty and talent competitions into adulthood. She had a beautiful singing voice and especially loved listening to songs that touched her heart. She also enjoyed cheering for her beloved Denver Broncos.
Despite her long battle with persistent health challenges, Robyn always found away to laugh and share a smile. She remained a relentless dreamer, consistently praying for the health and happiness of her family and hoping for a gentler world where everyone could find peace and kindness.
She is survived by her children, Krystal Drake and Evan Drake of Colorado; her granddaughter, McKenna Grace Drake of Colorado; her mother, Velma Carlson of The Colony, Texas; her siblings, Rick Carlson (Lisa) of Edmond, Oklahoma, Risa Martinelli (Dewey) of Naples, Florida, and Randy Carlson (Hollie) of Plano, Texas; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Carlson of The Colony, Texas.
Robyn will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, and her enduring spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held on March 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The service will also be livestreamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/robyn-renee-carlson-drake.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, physicians, and all who offered compassion, care, and support throughout Robyn’s extensive health struggles.
