Roberta (Bert) Mae Sayers Winningham age 80 of Farmersville, Texas, died February 11, 2022 in Dallas, Texas after a long hard battle of cancer. Roberta was born September 2, 1941 in Cherokee, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Vernie Sayers and late Alberta Mae Jessup Sayers. She married Ed Winningham on June 28, 1962 in Bethany, Oklahoma.  She graduated from Nursing School in 1985. In 1995, Ed & Roberta moved to Israel for 2 1/2 years, then returned to Oklahoma City. Roberta was of the Protestant faith. After the death of Ed she moved to Farmersville, Texas. She was an avid reader, always wanted to learn and she loved kittens.

While living in Israel she studied Hebrew under a good friend Avi Gold, and in memory of her he has chosen to dedicate a study of Ibn Ezra's commentary on the Book of Isaiah.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and one brother.

Roberta is survived by one son, Robert (Bob) Winningham of Farmersville, Texas; one granddaughter, Jennifer Winningham of Texas; three brothers, Clifford Sayers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rodney Sayers of Aransas Pass, Texas and Norman and Cindy Sayers of Graham, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
