Roberta Elaine Dancer of Plano, Texas passed away February 20, 2023 at the age of 69. She was born on October 27, 1953 to Robert E. Chronister and Charline (Edelbrock) Chronister in Lawrence, Kansas.
Roberta was a 1972 graduate of Plano High School and she attended Texas Tech University. She first married Philip Fischbach in 1973 and had two daughters, Misty and Kristi. Later, she married Elmer Donald Dancer in January1991 and was embraced by a very large and loving family. Roberta worked for Trident Company as a bookkeeper for about 30 years and then worked for Arch Metals for 10 years until she retired in 2022.
Roberta was an avid reader, enjoyed watching movies, traveling with Don, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed watching all of her grandchildren play their sports and had a love for animals. Her and Don always had multiple cats and dogs. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Roberta is survived by her husband, Don Dancer; children, Terry Don Dancer and wife, Brenda, Pam Gardner and husband, Kevin, Doug Dancer and wife, Vicki, Donna Davis and husband, David, Misty Groetken and husband, Nick, and Kristi Weston and husband, Shelby; sixteen grandchildren, Kortney, Kelsey, Katie, Brian, Kateland, Kaitlin, Cheyenne, Ryan, Cody, Jayce, Adam, Kayla, Grant, Kennedy, Cash, Crue; seventeen great-grandchildren; uncle, Burt Chronister and wife, Rochelle; cousins, Pam Lewis and Philip Chronister; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. And Charline Chronister and sister, Rosemarie Chronister.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
