IN LOVING MEMORY

Robert Christopher "Topher" Anderson

Jan 10 1972 - Mar 25 2020

Robert Christopher Anderson “Topher” of McKinney, Texas passed away at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 of pancreatic cancer. He was born on January 10, 1972 in Niskayuna, New York. He was 48.

He was a graduate of Heritage High School, Littleton, Colorado. He received degrees from The University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Texas Christian University with a Master of Business Administration. Topher was employed by William O’Neil & Company in Los Angeles, California from 1997-1998, Cornerstone Securities from 1999-2002 in Austin, Texas, ALEXPARTNERS LLP from 2003-2012 in Dallas, Texas and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management from 2013-2017 in Dallas, Texas.

Topher’s formative years were spent in Littleton, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. On weekends he would be at his parent’s condo in the mountains in Summit County. Topher excelled in most sports, but his favorites were skiing, tennis and golf. He was an avid Denver Bronco fan and had season tickets for years.

Topher was outgoing and made many lifelong friends over the years. At the University of Kansas, he joined the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Many of his fraternity brothers became his brothers with a closeness that lasted many years. He was a handsome and popular young man with an easy laugh and a dynamic smile. He was fun to be with, good natured, kind, caring and brave.

Topher deeply loved his children, Harper Alise, 11, and John Campbell, 9, and they adored their Daddy. He was happiest when they were having fun together, playing sports, fishing, or going to the movies and museums. The children were the reason Topher fought his cancer so courageously for three and a half years. They made the biggest impact on his life.

Topher is survived by his children, Harper Alise and John Campbell; parents, John Robert and Marilyn Frances Anderson; and his sister, Lori Anderson Lucero and husband, Shane Lucero and their children, Taylor and Brendan.

His family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. Carlos Toboada, Oncologist, Texas Oncology Plano, Dr. Stuart Akerman, Gastroenterologist, DHAT, Medical City Plano and their nurses, and Texas Oncology Nurses for taking remarkable care of their son with excellence and compassion.

Memorial contributions may be made to College America, a fund initiated by Lori and Shane Lucero. All funds go to Harper and Campbell Anderson for their college education. To donate to College America, contact Lori at LLAL247@msn.com for mailing address, or Venmo Lori @Lori-Lucero-1 and reference College America in comments.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2020 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071.
