Robert Charles Thompson of Frisco, Texas passed away on February 25, 2022 at the age of 64. He was born on July 20, 1957 to Joe Charles and Clara (Stafford) Thompson in Lubbock, Texas. Robert grew up in Midland, Texas graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1975. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and his Master Degree in Business Administration with additional studies in psychology from Angelo State University. Robert married Star Beth Williams on July 20, 1987 in Chuckey, Tennessee. Robert spent his professional career working in the telecommunications field and in network systems project management having worked for GTE, Sprint and Cisco Systems where he retired in 2018. During retirement he loved spending time at the family’s lake home on Richland Chambers Lake.
Robert is survived by his wife, Star Thompson of Frisco, Texas; sons, Joseph Connor Thompson and Charles Holt Thompson, both of Frisco, Texas; sister, SueEllen Stalder and husband, Dean of Midland, Texas; nephews and nieces, Mackey McCommon, Tyler McCommon, Hope Stalder, Andrew Stalder and wife, Bettye, and Brant Stalder; and a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janna Kay Thompson; and brother-in-law, Robert McCommon, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
