Robert Bruce McClintock of McKinney Texas passed away March 17, 2021 at the age of 84. He was born on September 12, 1936 to Donald and Kathryn (White) McClintock in Passaic, New Jersey. He graduated from Nutley High School in Nutley, New Jersey. Bob attended Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He graduated from Upsala College in East Orange, New Jersey with a double major Business and Economics. He was a longtime member of The Oaks Baptist Church.
Bob was a Senior Vice President with PaineWebber/UBS Financial Services for 55 years. His job was his life, his passion, his hobby. He knew at 10 years old that he wanted to be working in finance/investments. He would always joke that he hated weekends and holidays. We all knew there was truth in his words.
Bob loved big steaks, great food, Judge Judy, Shark Tank and being the “Mayor of Rockfish” More importantly he loved his family, friends, co-workers and clients.
Bob’s quiet demeanor hid his deviously funny side. He had a great sarcastic wit. His most famous saying was “We will know he’s retired when his head hits the keyboard.”
Dad, you’re retired, job well done, life well lived, love well given. There’s a hole in our hearts but we will carry you with us forever.
Bob is survived by his children Pamela Ray of Conroe, Texas, Chris McClintock and wife, Jackie of Princeton, Texas, Kelly Lane of Forney, Texas, Heather Scruggs of McKinney, Texas; stepdaughter, Joanna Castle and husband, Bill of Blue Ridge, Texas; grandsons, Christopher McClintock(Jaime) of Brighton, Colorado, Ryan Ray(Lauren) of Houston, Texas, Robert Ray(Victoria) of Spring, Texas; granddaughters, Taylor Arp(Casey) of Conroe, Texas, Madalyn Lane of Waco, Texas, Macey Prince of Dallas, Texas, Mary Parker Scruggs of Orlando, Florida, Tara Klemm(Daniel) of Ft Worth, Texas, Tessa Castle of McKinney, Texas and Tayla Castle of Princeton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Michael McClintock, Colton McClintock, Brynlee Ray, Harper Ray, Baker Ray, Iylie Laughlin, Rose Jones; sister, Jeanny McClintock of Shelter Island, New York and nephew, Scott Hickey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert B McClintock, Jr; his Love, his wife, Suzanne McClintock; stepdaughter, Suzanne Jones; and nephew, Lance Hickey.
Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s honor to a charity of your choice.
A remembrance gathering will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of 150 guests will be allowed to attend the Memorial Service.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
Following the memorial service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal inurnment service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
