Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, for Robert William Parker, who died on November 10, 2017, following a brief illness.
Robert was born on March 25, 1960, in Lafayette, LA, the son of Luther George and Jeanette Plauché Parker. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1978 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985 in Electrical Engineering (Computer Option) from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette). In 1985 he married his college sweetheart, Tracey Marie Barnabei.
Robert was a computer genius who spent countless hours solving technology problems for his employer and inventing new ways to streamline their services. His mind operated like a computer, and he delighted in extending his expertise to colleagues, friends, and family, who will greatly miss his guidance.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Tracey Barnabei Parker, and sons Alec George Parker and Kyle Barnabei Parker, of Frisco, Texas; his mother, Jeanette Plauché Parker, brothers James Stephen Parker and George Thomas Parker, nephew Jordan Thomas Parker, and nieces Erin Elizabeth Parker and Annie Noel Parker, of Lafayette, Louisiana; his sister-in-law, Elisé Barnabei of Jarrell, TX; niece, Samantha Lynn Sanford (Travis) of Taylor, TX; and nephew, Marshall Bethke of Victoria, TX. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.
Visitation will be held at the Chapel at Frisco Heritage Center, 6321 Page Street, Frisco, TX, on Wednesday, November 15, at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Stephen Waller officiating. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, Frisco, is in charge of arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Straub, Jack Straub, Sam Straub, and Max Straub. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UT Southwestern Medical Center, P. O.
