Robert Scott Hawkins of Lucas, Texas passed away on July 15, 2018 at the age of 63. He was born on April 3, 1955 to Robert and Anna Gail (Alexander) Hawkins in Corpus Christi, Texas. Robert grew up in McKinney and graduated from McKinney High School in 1973. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from UT Arlington. Robert worked in the city planning office for the City of Dallas and was instrumental in the rezoning and redevelopment of Deep Ellum as part of the Dallas 2000 project. He also worked in various real estate development capacities before starting his own real estate appraisal company wherein he traveled the world valuating complex commercial businesses al all kinds. Later in his career, he served as an expert witness in commercial real estate disputes. Robert was a published author, Eagle Scout, talented artist in multiple disciplines and enjoyed working on his two-acre property in Lucas. He loved traveling and enjoyed watching movies.
Robert is survived by his children, Jonathan and wife, Jordan Hawkins, Matt and wife, Lisa Hawkins, Ryan Hawkins, and Alex and wife, Tiffany Hawkins, and their mother, Martha Sue (Madill) Hawkins all of Dallas, Texas; his girlfriend of fourteen years, Deanna Frederick and her daughter, Nicole Frederick; grandchildren, Will Hawkins, Caroline Hawkins, Emily Hawkins, Keaton Hawkins, and Nathan Scott Hawkins; brother, Jamie Hawkins, sisters, Julie Shelton and Carolyn Arroyo and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna Hawkins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
