Robert “Rob” Duane Petitt, III of Fairview, Texas passed away on January 30, 2018 at the age of 31. He was born on December 14, 1986 to Robert Duane Petitt, Jr. and June Eiermann Petitt in Dallas, Texas.
Rob graduated from Frisco High School in 2005, attended Oklahoma State University, University of Texas-Arlington, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He had a big heart and an even bigger personality. In his 31 years, he lived life larger than most people ever experience. His many adventures included Bondurant Racing School, Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction, 17th Street Barbecue School, private flying lessons, off-shore fishing tournaments, SCCA auto-cross racing, amateur body building, Olympic-style powerlifting, and was on his high school wrestling team. He was the Brewmaster at Port Aransas Brewing Company, but he was most proud of being a firefighter for the Port Aransas Volunteer Fire Department.
Rob is survived by his parents, Bob and June Petitt of Fairview, Texas; sister, Catie Perez, her husband, Miguel, and nephew Christian of McKinney, Texas; brother Ben Petitt of Fairview, Texas; grandmother, Nelma Petitt of Houston, Texas; aunts, Catharyn Reeves and husband, Gary, Donna Petitt, Brenda Preuss and husband, Jimmy, Ann Murray and husband, Jim; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Duane Petitt, Sr. and Charles Eiermann; and his uncle, Mark Sullivan Petitt.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation Saturday morning, one hour prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
