Robert "Bobby" Rawlings

Robert “Bobby” Rawlings, age 62, of Denison, Texas, passed away at his deer lease on November 10, 2009, in San Angelo, Texas. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Bobby was born September 29, 1947, in Denton, Texas, to Clarence Allen and Evelyn Roberta (Loftice) Rawlings. He graduated from Celina High School. Bobby was married to Elizabeth Rawlings from 1972 – 2001. She preceded him in death after a ten year battle with cancer. He later married Sherry Kay Braudrick on October 28, 2001 in McKinney, Texas. Bobby retired as an inspector for the Texas Highway Department after thirty years. He was a member of Rhea’s Mill Baptist Church in Prosper, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Rawlings of Denison, Texas; children, Judy Sessums of McKinney, Texas, Allen Striplin of Richardson, Texas, Stephanie Challis of the United Kingdom, Roger Braudrick of Ft. Worth, Texas, Cody Braudrick of Sherman, Texas, and Danny Rodriguez of Richardson, Texas; twelve grandchildren; and sister, Genie Hendrix of Weston, Texas. He was also preceded in death by his parents, son, Randy Striplin in 2001, and one sister. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Celina.
