Robert “Bob” Pressly Bryarly Jr., age 75, of Frisco, Texas passed away on June 15, 2019, in Carrollton, Texas, surrounded by his family.  He was born on June 12, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert Pressly Bryarly Sr. and Edith Eilleen (Humphrey). On June 11, 1966, Bob married Melicent Marie Tlucek in Houston, Texas. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Melicent Bryarly of Frisco, Texas; four children: Juliana Bryarly and her husband, Ted Lowell,  of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Robert “Rob” Pressly Bryarly III and his wife, Maureen, of St. Petersburg, Florida; Matthew Henry Bryarly and his wife, Jennifer, of Dallas, Texas; Richard Thomas Bryarly and his wife Katja, of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Samuel, Antonia and Austin Lowell, Megan, Henry, Jake, Emma, Suri and Finn Bryarly, & a host of extended family members and friends. 

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Patrick Bryarly, and parents, Edith and Robert Bryarly Sr. Bob was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Victoria, Texas, and served as the Grand Knight and the Faithful Navigator of the Knights of Columbus. He also served as a CCD teacher and was active in the Northside Rotary Club of Victoria.  Bob was passionate about his restoration of his beloved MGs and barbeque and never met a joke or pun that he didn’t like.  He frequently traveled and adopted his wife’s Czech heritage of polka music, dominoes and good beer. 

Bob was a career employee of Union Carbide for 35 years. He began his career as a staff chemist at the Taft, Louisiana plant and when he retired, he was the Quality Assurance-Quality Control Manager at the Seadrift plant. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Saturday June 22, 2019 at 4 p.m. with Michael Armstrong, Worship Pastor of the Well Church, Argyle, Texas, officiating. A Requiem Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 704 Mallette Drive, Victoria, Texas 77904, on July 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Patrick Knippenberg presiding. It will be preceded by a reception in the church hall at 9:00 a.m. and a rosary at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Memorial Park, 304 W. Church Street, El Campo, Texas 77437, on July 1, 2019 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gregory Korenek, presiding. 

Honorary pallbearers are Tim Tlucek, Bill Goerig, brothers-in-law; John Hrncir, cousin; Leonard Tupa, Dr. Art Schomberg, Paul Adams, Carl Kirst, Mike Hooper, Gene Cerny, Ron Stringer and Jim Callaway.
