Robert “Rob” Paul Jobe, 63, passed away October 2, 2026, after a brief illness of Pancreatic Cancer, in Carrollton, Texas. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on November 8, 1962, to his parents, Charles Leondas Jobe, Jr. and Lois Faye (Young) Webb.
Rob proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for six years. Following his military service, he began his career with Cingular Wireless before joining AT&T Cellular, where he worked as a network engineer. While working at AT&T, Rob met Nancy Green, and the two married on January 1, 2000. Together, they shared many years of love, companionship, and cherished memories.
He was a devoted father to his son and daughter and grandfather “Papa” to his grandchildren. Rob was an avid long-distance hiker, bicycle rider and runner who enjoyed the challenge and accomplishment that came with both. He also had a passion for riding his motorcycles long distance, especially with his brother, Chuck, and loved spending time outdoors. Rob spent many years competing in long distance runs and bicycle rides – the longer and more challenging the better! His favorite was the Hotter’N Hell 100 – 100 miles in 100-degree heat competing in events all weekend long and pushing himself! Rob enjoyed so many diverse interests and was always curious to learn more – he was a leather craftsman creating unique and beautiful leather pieces and loved working with and forging iron. There wasn’t a dog or cat that Rob didn’t connect with and love – and the feeling was mutual. He was always surrounded by his many beloved pets. He and Nancy especially enjoyed camping and traveling together, making wonderful memories along the way.
Rob will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, love of the outdoors, his giving nature and huge heart and the special memories he shared with his wife, children, family, and friends.
Rob is survived by his wife, Nancy Green, of Carrollton, Texas; son, Shane Robert Jobe and wife, Cindy of Pooler, Georgia; daughter, Mandy Jean Burzese of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Leonidas, Augie, and Galilea; brothers, Chuck Jobe of Waco, Texas, Tom Jobe of Wampum, Pennsylvania, Jon Jobe of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and Tim Jobe of Colorado; father, Charles Jobe of Pennsylvania, and mother, Lois Webb; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and fondly cherish his memory.
Robert was preceded in death by his stepmother, Joyce Jobe.
A memorial graveside service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at 9:15 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2026, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211.
