Robert Louie Turnbow, age 80, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019. He was born on April 12, 1938, in Coos Bay, Oregon, to Isabelle (Armstrong) and Louie Turnbow. Robert married the love of his life, Barbara Ann (Worley) Turnbow on November 25, 1966, in Yuma, Arizona. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps in the department of Aviation Ordinance, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Turnbow of Little Elm, Texas; his children, Kimberly Sanders and her husband, Brent, of Altus, Oklahoma, and Shawna Long and her husband, Greg, of Little Elm, Texas; his grandchildren, Justin Long, Hunter Aaron, Jordan Sanders, Paige Sanders, Bailey Long and Emily Sanders; his sister, Cheryl Hunter and her husband, Jim, of Columbia Falls, Montana; his brother, Douglas Turnbow and his wife, Margaret, of McMinnville, Oregon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Long; his sister, Carol Reed; and his parents, Louis and Isabelle Turnbow.
Graveside service will be held at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
