Robert Lewis "Bobby" Glynn

Robert Lewis Glynn, 60, passed away on April 12, 2017, at Brookdale Willowbrook Place, in Houston, Texas.  He battled aggressive lung cancer.  To most of his family and friends, he was “Bobby” or “Bob”.  He was born on December 17, 1956 at Masonic Hospital in Cherokee, OK, to Robert and Lucille (Lewis) Glynn.  Robert grew up between a family farm near Cherokee, OK and Medicine Lodge, KS, where his father taught high school.  Later the family moved to Hutchinson, KS, where he graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1975.  He spent most of his career exercising his creativity through a multitude of craftsman trades.  He worked on several construction oriented jobs in Oklahoma City, OK, Salida, CO, and Hutchinson, KS.  He had a gift for design and was a talented carpenter.  He enjoyed helping family members and friends with carpentry work in their homes.  He also spent a short time as a hair stylist in Hutchinson.  He loved ski trips to Colorado with family members, and spent much of his free time fishing.

He is survived by sons, Tim Glynn and wife KC of Spring, TX, Jason Glynn and wife Courtney of Austin, TX; daughter, Kayla Glynn of Ooltewah, TN; grandchildren, Lexi, Skyden, Aubrey, Ainsley, and Aaron; brothers, Mike Glynn and wife Betty of Scottsdale, AZ, Tim Cole and wife Leah of Edmond, OK and Jimmy Cole of Naples, FL; sister, Regina Kimbrel and husband Tom of Marion, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2016 and his mother in 2004.

The family plans to have a service at a later date.
