Robert Lee Stephens passed away on August 12, 2023, in Van Alstyne, Texas at the age of 95. He was born to William and Minne (Erwin) Stephens on February 17, 1928, in Melissa, Texas. He was the youngest of six children.
Robert was employed by Cabell’s Milk Company for two and a half years, from 1944-1946, as a refrigeration mechanic. He joined the Air Force in April of 1946 and served until September 1947. After his discharge, he returned to his position at Cabell’s and remained there for 40 years until his retirement.
Robert married Lucy Wagnon in January of 1950, in McKinney, Texas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting knives.
He is survived by his daughter; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, his son, and his five siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
